Seymour Eaville, Curse Buster

Seymour Eaville, 13, has a gift for sniffing out truly cursed objects, just like his famous "curse busting" father. When the world's most hexed object - the legendary Hope diamond - begins to act a little strange, Seymour and his dad are called to the Smithsonian. Soon, Seymour and his arch nemesis, Marcy Meadow Chatswin Holdsworth, are racing against a timeline of every curse the Hope has ever cast. To undo the jinx, they'll need to figure out whom they can trust. A one-eyed custodian with a hidden library? A German gemologist with a squandered fortune? Or their sweet neighbor - who harbors two murderous mutts with mysterious names? And as a new flaw inside the Hope grows bigger, and the diamond more dangerous, they'll have to decide whether to risk a trip to hidden grotto in India, where the answer might lie with an idol. Can they solve the mystery, and end the world's most powerful curse, before Seymour, Marcy and their dads are doomed?
