Description
This is a science fiction mystery/political thriller, part one of the Nanoclone trilogy. The story takes place in the near future when a mysterious religious cult clones a dozen famous leaders, including Lenin, Mao, Napoleon, and Charlemagne, in a bizarre scheme to breed a team to guide humanity to some mystical utopian future.
The cult's plans suffer a setback when the clones are kidnapped at a few months old. One of them, the clone of Charlemagne, resurfaces years later, and goes on a campaign to reclaim Europe as his personal fiefdom. This brings on a free-wheeling covert war between the cult, the clones, the British billionaire who kidnapped them, various governments, and defectors on all sides - aided by advanced nanotechnology that gives each contender super power destructive capabilities.
This is the first of three volumes: the 'Bishop Of Rome' is due in 2011, and the third, 'King Of Jerusalem' in 2012.
