“I have written Verses – to please myself – all my life. Incidentally, I am clear that there is a distinction between Verses and anyone can and should write Verses, very few are called upon to be Poets. These here are divided into four sections. The first is dedicated to Harold, ending with a poem written after his death in 2008. The second is a random collection of poems, from the time before we met in 1975.
